The active dried sourdough starter is as robust as the regular wet version. It has the sturdy microbial colonies that the wet starter has. Half of the flour is plain white unbleached flour, the other half is from freshly stone milled organic wholemeal rye flour. It can be fed with any other type of flour too. With this starter you can obtain a final bread product showing a perfect balance between yeasts and the best bacterial lactic strains.

Sent in a glass jar just like the photo. It comes with a printed instruction of how to use the starter. You can chat with us for any extra assistance too.

The dried sourdough starter simply is a happy, healthy, and vibrant version of its regular wet counterpart but in dried form.

This powdered version could be also used to season a yeasted dough and pizza to give them more intense taste, digestibility, fragrance and flavor typical of mother yeast.
